Learn about Austin Energy Solar Plant
Tue. Nov. 30 – 7 pm at Lions Club in Manor

The public is invited to attend a meeting at 7 pm Tuesday November 30th at the Lions Club, 105 W. Eggleston in Manor to discuss a planned solar plant.
Within the next six months, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) plans to begin constructing one of the nation’s largest photovoltaic solar installations (30 MW), helping Austin Energy meet its target of installing 200 MW of solar capacity by 2020 and generating 35% of its power from clean, emissions-free renewable energy resources by 2020. FRV will own and operate the system; Austin Energy has contracted to purchase all of the power it produces for a 25-year period.

Austin Energy’s 2,800 acre property is located in eastern Travis County, extending from near Blake Manor Road to near FM 969. The solar farm had originally been planned for the northern portion of the site, but has been changed to the southern section of the site in order to preserve numerous existing environmental attributes, including archeological and water features present at the northern location.

Manor Veterinary Hospital is now taking applications for a full-time receptionist position. Looking for great people skills, clerical skills, and a super attitude. Will train needed veterinary knowledge. Love of animals a must. Apply at Manor Vet Hospital 11311 Hwy 290 East, Manor Texas.
