Bloorhouse Handcrafted Necessities: I'll have a bunch of fresh bath bombs at the market this week. I'll also have fresh-baked granola. A big batch of Beer Soap is nearly done curing and I'll be able to bring it to the market in a few weeks. I'm starting to get Holiday orders... now is the perfect time to order gift baskets, I have ample time to make just about anything you need for gifts!
Cotton Candy Kidz will have a new assortment of bows this week!
We will also have homemade buenelos!
Had a blast this weekend at the Manor Fest! I can't wait till next years! 8-)
Munkebo Farm will have okra, magenta spreen, sweet potato leaves, eggplant, basil , oregano, duck eggs, quail eggs, prickly pear jam, chicken pot pie, quiche Lorraine, organic apple pie, organic blueberry pie, artichoke dip, balsamic vinaigrette, organic cilantro chutney, basil/walnut pesto and bacon wrapped dates. Editor's note: Prickly pear jam is great on roasted chicken or the wild pig we BBQ'd this weekend.
Burt's Texas Garden: For you this week, we expect to have CORN DIP, STRAWBERRY JAM, JALAPENO JELLY, CHOW-CHOW, PICKLED BEETS, and READY TO FRY OKRA. Editor's note: Corn dip is good on baked or boiled new potatoes.
Pat the Baker Lady will be bringing lemon raisin nut scones, individual apple, black cherry or peach apple walnut cake, green onion cheddar cheese corn bread, whipping cream pound cake, baked onion casserole, oat and jam muffins, and pickled beets
Mata Tamales: Beef, Pork, Chicken and Spicy Bean this week. New item, vegetarian tamales made with black beans, squash and corn. Empanadas too! All made by three generations of the Mata Family of Manor.
Frank will be at the market this week with three Manor Honeys to choose from, Spring Wildflower, Bees Trees and Cotton Blossom. These are all from Frank's hives here in Manor.
Gordon Taylor with the start of fall harvest of yellow squash, zucchini and peppers. Delicious jams and jellies, fig preserves and apple butter.
Green Grass Meats will be attending both the Wednesday market downtown and the Saturday market at New Tech High School. David will be bringing us antibiotic and growth hormone free beef from their fields right here in Central Texas including two pastures in Manor. Steaks, ground beef, cutlets, roasts, summer sausage, jerky and beer sticks. For more information on their practices go to Green Grass Meats dot com. Special this week is ground beef buy two and get the third one free!
Royal Indian: Oh my gosh this food is so good: Tomato Sahji, Chicken Vandaloo, Royal Dip, Spinach Paratha, Potato Lentil Paratha, Spinach Pakoda, Chene Masala, Pickled Chicken & Home Made Naan. Sing had talked about bringing hot foods to the market last week. I don't know if they are going to start this week or next.
Ray the Noodle Man will be at the market with hand made noodles from the Texas Wendish Heritage Society his Mom started some sixty years ago. Noodles made the old fashioned way using eggs, flour and salt. Just like his Momma known all over Central Texas as the Noodle Lady used to make.
Bikkurim: Squash yellow or zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes (new potatoes need to be refrigerated as they are not cured), okra, peppers. Farm raised organic whole chickens and eggs. Canned tomato soup and sauce.
