Burt's Texas Garden:  This week we expect to have tomatoes, okra, peppers, fresh eggs, corn dip, and lots of dill pickles. Come see us!!

Munkebo Farm will have grapes, figs, yellow squash, acorn squash, patty pan squash, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, lemon basil, sweet basil, oregano, carrots, red potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, magenta spreen (like spinach), duck eggs, frozen Muscovy duck, organic apple pie, organic blueberry pie, artichoke dip and balsamic vinaigrette. Possibly some giant organic cinnamon buns  and lemon basil lemonade if I have time.  Oh yum says Denise

Gordon will be there with a great deal of cantaloupe and squash from his family farm in Cele. Also, sweet or hot peppers from chocolate bells to Big Bertha roasting peppers. Some tomatoes, onions & cashaw. Freshly made blackberry or peach jellies, fig preserves and apple butter. All naturally grown no chemicals of any kind.

Ray the Noodle Man will have homemade Texas Wendish Heritage Society noodles for sale. Just like his Momma used to make using only flour, eggs and salt.

Mata Tamales: Three generations of the Mata family come together to make tamales for Manor. To the market they will bring chicken and pork tamales. Special orders for jalapeno cheese, bean and cheese or beef may be made in advance by calling 517-1441.

Kala's Kuisine: Dinner plates. A wide variety of sweet to very hot salsas and chutneys: Curry-Tabasco, Mango Chutney, Chutney Salsa, Mirchi-Masala & Curry -Chipotle Salsa. Also, momos, samosas and hummus. Kala is taking pre-orders for dinner plates which include two curries, rice, chutney, samosas and roti, a tortilla type Indian bread, all for $6. You may place your order at her e-mail address : kala at kalaskuisine dot com. Stop by for a sample!

Bloorhouse will have a fresh batch of mosquito repellent, after bite cream and all her usual luxurious bath items.

The Goodwin Homestead will have stained glass mosaics for home and garden. Beautiful hung in a window, useful for doors stops or bookends and make a nice garden accent. Uniquely embellished, hand made, felted wool bags and bracelets. Juliet and White Currant Tomaotes.

Sylvia from Bikkurim Farms has not checked in yet. I expect her to come and still have watermelon, tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, potatoes and eggplant. Eggs, whole organic chickens and tomatoes sauce.

Manor Farmers' Market is sponsored by Manor owned businesses and organizations: Jonse Farmer's Insurance, Manor Veterinary Hospital, Manor Chamber of Commerce and the East Rural Community Center a non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving East Rural Travis County. Thank you to all of you for making this possible.

The old Environmental Mills on Highway 290 just east of Old Kimbro Road is under new ownership.  They are offering free mulch for the taking.  There is a sign on the south side of 290 that says "Free Mulch" just before their drive way. Pull in and look to your right there is a big box of mulch.  Load it up and take it home.  They are burning the scrap wood down there and it smells like BBQ all the time at my house.

Eat well,

Denise
