Sunday, March 28th, 11 AM, Barr Mansion, Austin, TX: An Organic Brunch celebrating spring and benefiting the Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association! TOFGA educates new and seasoned farmers (and gardeners) at seminars throughout the year. The Honey Forecast Looks Good

Frank Touissant, our local bee keeper, has had 18 colonies survive the winter! That's up 30% compared to the last three years' average. He expects to have fresh local honey for sale by June. Frank is very optimistic about having enough honey to go through the year without running out. He'll rejoin the farmers market just as soon as the honey's ready. Stay tuned.

Market Offerings for Mar. 17 - Seed Exchange

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

In Celebration of the Vernal Equinox and the spring planting season Manor Farmers' Market would like to invite you to our biannual seed exchange at the market today from 4-7PM. Bring your seeds to exchange with other growers or come by and share information. Travis County Farm Bureau will bring their Mobile Learning Barn to the market this week. If there isn't room at Jennie Lane SmartPark the mobile barn will be across the street at the Manor Methodist Church. Thank you Pastor Veda and the City of Manor for making this possible.

Burt's Texas Garden: Happy St. Patrick's Day! This week, we will have Spinach and Turnips. In addition, we'll have Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Beets, Chow Chow, Jalapeno Jelly, and Farm Fresh Eggs. Stop by and see us!

Laverne’s Vegetable Patch: This week I will have Country Fresh Eggs - Salsa - and Little Green Onions

Edendell Farm: Will have peppers and tomatoes, the peppers are so sweet I just cut them up and leave them on the counter. Everyone just grabs them as they walk by.

The Goodwin Homestead: will have stained glass mosaics for home and garden. 100% wool felted coin purses, and radishes, leeks, collard greens, and cabbage.

Mata Tamales: Made right here in Manor by three generations of the Mata family. This week they will be bringing chicken and pork tamales and empanadas too.

Bloorhouse: will whip up some more of the delicious and nutritious bread she had made and brought to the market last week. Lovely soaps, lip balms and bath bombs too.

Dyer Dairy and Mercantile of Georgetown: Is joining the Manor Farmers' Market Family in April offering locally raised beef to start. More information on Dyer Mercantile can be found at localharvest.org. The following are beef prices for the Manor Farmers Market. We would be willing to do once or twice a month deliveries depending on demand and availability. These prices are good through April.

ColMar Farm: I will bring some mustard greens, fresh onions, Swiss chard, herbs, spring mix lettuce, spinach, canned goods, homemade cookies, eggs and a good time to be had by us all.

Our Newest Farmer: Gordon Taylor hails from lovely Cele, Texas. This week Gordon will be bringing cabbage, broccoli, spinach, carrots, green onions, kale, collards and Swiss chard.

Edendell Farm will be back next week.

The Tamale Lady: Or her grandson with Chicken or Pork tamales made right here in beautiful downtown Manor.

Ray the Noodle Man: Homemade Texas Wendish Heritage Society Noodles. Raymond will also start bringing more of his mother's recipes offering regular cottage cheese, cottage cheese with cranberries or caraway. Free samples.
