6J Ranch joins Manor Farmers' Market bringing us pork, poultry, beef and eggs . Come on by and welcome our new member. 6J uses Polyface Farm methods.

Tecolote Farm is starting to bring us vegetables and herbs from their farm in south Manor next week. They were going to start this week but David dislocated his shoulder. Squash, cucumbers, lettuces and lettuce mixes, eggplant, peppers, turnips, beets & lots o herbs

Lavernes shoulder is healing from the break and should be back next week.

Burt's Texas Garden will be providing us with vegetables again starting next week.

The Manor ISD Student and Family Support Services department is hosting a HOLIDAY SHOPPING EXTRAVANGANZA on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 4pm-9pm. The event will be held at the Manor New Tech High School cafeteria.

We are currently seeking vendors of all kinds to sell their products/services at this event. Table spaces will rent for $25 (doubles for $45), if you provide your own tables, then the space will be $20. There is also a $5 vendor discount for MISD employees. Spaces will be approximately 6'x8'. We will be limiting the quantities of "same type" vendors, so that the event will offer a nice variety of goods.

We are also requesting that vendors donate a door price for raffle.

If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact me directly to secure your space for this event. All spaces will need to be prepaid prior to the event. You can call or email me with any questions.

Laverne’s Vegetable Patch: This week I will have purple cabbage, little green onions, salsa and farm fresh eggs.

Burt's Texas Garden: Our gardens are in transition, so we won't have vegetables for a few weeks. In the meantime, making a grand return to the market....and for a very limited time only....we will have Blueberry Jam, Strawberry Jam, Jalapeno Jelly, Cabernet Wine Jelly, Bread and Butter Pickles, Chow-Chow and Pickled Beets

Gordon: will have carrots, chard, cabbage, the last of his spinach for the season, onions and kale.

Shaye: will have tomatoes & peppers this week.

Bloorhouse: will whip up some more of their delicious and nutritious bread. Lovely soaps, lip balms and bath bombs too.

Mata Tamales: Three generations of the Mata family come together to make tamales for Manor. To the market they will bring chicken and pork tamales. Special orders for jalapeno cheese, bean and cheese or beef may be made in advance by calling 517-1441.

Heather: Will have nifty little Terrariums and hand crafted jewelry for sale.

Burt's Texas Garden: It almost feels like fall this week! I do not know if you knew that I got 9 awards on my salsa's this years hot sauce contest. 5 in Austin, 2 in Houston and 2 in Alberkerky. Curry-chipotle got first place, Mirchi-masala got first place and curry tabasco got second place and mango chutney got third place on all the events. That is why I said award winning salsas.
